My name is Maverick Seda I’m part Malaita and Guadalcanal and I’m the of Youth Online Campaign Solomon Islands (YOCSI), Currently I’m a Youth Volunteer working with CSOs/NGOs.
I’m also part of the Solomon Islands Social Accountability (SISAC), Forum Solomon Islands International (FSII), Pacific Youth Forum Against Corruption Solomon Islands (PYFACSI), and in the regional level I’m part of the YoungSolwara Pacific Youth Group.
I’m also a Humans Rights Activist, Advocating for West Papua issues, and also advocating for good governance in the Solomon Islands.
I am one of the Co-Founders of Youth Online Campaign Solomon Islands, a Youth Advocate, Activist, and a Community Developmemt Practitioner.
I graduated with a Bachelor degree in Tourism and Management from the University of the South Pacific in 2015.
I had spent the past 5 years residing in the rural area, in Malaita Province and engage alot in rural community initiatives and youth engagements.
I am a strong believer in Enterpreneuship; committed and determine to see the private sector grow and see more youth engage in Enterpreneuship and building their livelihoods.
I am currently the Chairman of Malaita Youth Caucus and a Executive Advisor of Malaita Youth in Business Association.
Also I am a member of the Pacific Youth Against Corruption Solomon Islands, a member of the United Nations Global Youth Programme 16×16.
I am a firm believer in Youth Activism and Advocacy. I would like to see more youths proactively engaged in the public discourse; enhance and amplify their marginalized and unheard youth voices. Hence, YOCSI is established to accommodate the unheard voices of youths and invoke positive change in the communities.
